April-May 2012

Time is Flying! Rayna is 3 months now and Seth seems to be growing up before our eyes! It seems he had a big growth spurt in 2012... he is getting tall!  Rayna is chunking up and probably has more baby chub than Seth ever had in his life. haha
**(I realize most ppl don't care about the following details, but I will be glad I wrote stuff like this down in years to come when all the "baby days" are a foggy memory. =)) Sometimes ppl ask me questions about Seth (like what he was doing at certain ages or how long he was sleeping, etc..) when he was a baby, and it's crazy how much I forget! So, feel free to skip over this part and jump to the pics if you want! =)

Rayna is having longer content periods with big smiles and sweet coos. It seems like she wants to let out a big laugh s/t but cant quite figure out how to get her vocal chords to do that yet =) She likes to suck on her fists, which I think is so cute. She started sleeping thru the night at 10 weeks and now I can pretty much assume that she'll sleep after her last feeding at night (about 10-11ish) till about 6:30-7:00 am unless she wiggles her head into the rails or something. It is wonderful!  She sleeps all night on her belly sometimes and other times on her back. (I think she's getting a flat head b/c she hates tummy time when she's awake, so I've tried to lay her down on her belly more once she's already asleep.) Shhh... don't tell the docs! ;)
During the day, she still has episodes of screaming when she's tired, and if I lay her down and try to let her cry it out, she gets so mad and sweaty that I can't stand it any longer, so I pick her up =)  She likes to be in the bouncy chair w/ the vibration turned on and someone bouncing it, in order to fall asleep...or be held outside in the fresh air, or be put in the swing before she starts crying. If I try to put her in the swing when she's already upset, that just ticks her off! haha  But other times she surprises us and falls asleep on her own w/out much fussing in her bouncy chair!

Here are a bunch of pics and a video:

Kyle's parents came down at the end of April and we celebrated all the April and May 1st b-days =)

1st try at arm wrestling =)

They were having so much fun. so cute to watch!

my snowball bush was so pretty this spring! wish it would last longer!

2.5 months

Kyle bought Seth his 1st bat and ball, and made a "tee ball stand" from a vacuum attachment. ha

It's crazy how much more they can do in one year's time!

such a wiggle worm in her sleep. (head started out on the burp cloth)

Seth and I found this baby raccoon in our neighbor's window well. He was pretty cute but I was still kind of scared to get too close!

We had a group of friends over last weekend and this is Seth "pushing" his friend Carson.

Dana, Steph, Jessica (love these ladies!)

Seth, Carson and Caden

We took Seth to a nice park that we used to live really close to.

Throwing rocks in the pond

I guess she liked the park too ;)

3 months old! She doesn't last too long in this thing.

 good babysitter =)

Lining up the cars. (These cars have provided many hrs of entertainment!)

1st sparkler experience and he burned himself. He picked up the hot end to give it to Elli... =/

Saying "cool!" about his new dirt bike from the consignment shop. When Kyle gave it to him, he said "this is my new favorite toy ever!"

Here is Rayna making some noises =)

We are enjoying these kiddos so much. We are so undeserving and so blessed. Thank you, Lord! We're looking forward to Christine's wedding later this week! crazy!!
