Rayna (about 5.5 months) becoming more vocal =) (Excuse my silly "mother voice." haha)
She is so sweet and smiley and we're just loving her coos, squeals, and laughs! (The laughs aren't too frequent yet =)) She's such a good baby most of the time. Still has to cry herself to sleep quite a bit, but s/t falls asleep w/out a fuss. She's still pretty content to just lay on her back and play on the play-yard or stare at the fan and chew on toys, etc.. hardly ever rolls over. I think she forgot she can do that! The Bumbo seat is also great so she can sit on the table while we're eating. She still hates tummy time! I tried to feed her rice cereal for the first time today, and she didn't care too much about it. I guess it's weird to have a new texture in the mouth. She still nurses about 4 times a day (every 4 hrs roughly) and I pump every night before I go to bed to try to keep my supply up. She's sleeping like a champ at night, which is wonderful.
As for Seth, he's definitely an irrational and stubborn 3 yr old and becoming more difficult these days. I think the 3's are gonna be worse than the 2's. He's gotten used to daddy being home w/ him all summer and putting him to bed at night, and has become a major daddy's boy and throws fits s/t when I try to do something for him. What happened to my little boy that always wanted mommy to rock him at night?? =) Oh well, all negativity aside, he sure is a little ham and makes us laugh w/ his antics and vocabulary! ("for crying out loud," "that's for sure," etc.. are some of his new phrases.) He starts cubbies this year in Awana! Kyle and I are both going to be leaders for the 3rd-6th grade kids, so we'll all be going to Awana together on Wed. nights. Rayna will be doing her memory work in the nursery =)
I've been working more than usual while Kyle is still home. His first day of actual teaching is the 22nd, but tomorrow is his last morning home. Seth is going to go through daddy withdrawal I think! I can never believe how fast the summers go! God sure has blessed us w/ Kyle's new position at Bellbrook and we're hoping he enjoys it as much as he did at Kings.

did you see the bumbo seat recall? You can register yours for a free safety strap to add on. The website is on my fb page if you still need to do that. tons of babies have fallen out and fractured skulls!

Rayna is adorable. Such a sweet sound:) Seth is adorable too. You need to add a picture of his sweet little face. no one would believe he gives you a rough time soemtimes.

ReplyDeleteOh Rayna is too cute!!! I LOVE her squeals & smiles:-)) Yes, Iris sounds very much like Seth too as far as fits, not sure when/IF it will ever end lol! They grow up so fast, enjoy the days with them:-) Miss you all!

I still crack up thinking about what a ham Seth is...especially when he took my iphone and said Jenna say cheese...and here I thought I was just playing along but next thing you know there is a pic of me on the phone!
