I've been working on this post almost all week but due to lots of computer problems (and frustration on my part) I wasn't able to get it posted until today. SO, anyway, we are loving the warmer weather and seeing the green grass and plants come up again. Kyle just LOVES doing yard work (and I love admiring the fruits of his labor =)). He always has ideas about what he wants to do in the yard... too bad it all costs $$$ and it's a lot of trial and error. We bought some tulips the other night, and they've taken a beating from all the heavy rain/wind (and even hail) we've had lately. We'll see how they turn out next year =)
Earlier this month we went to Michigan during Kyle's spring break to visit his parents. He was able to help his dad cut up a bunch of branches with the chain saw (which Seth loved watching) and do some roof repairs (where a tree branch landed through their bathroom ceiling). The weather wasn't very nice when we were there unfortunately, so we didn't get to spend much time outside, but we still had a nice visit and Seth was able to get to know his Nana and Grandpa better. We gave Seth a much needed haircut while we were there!
He must feel a lot lighter with his short haircut! He found a stuffed dog at Nana's house and fell in "love" right away. =) This is his "hug" when I would tell him to "give your doggy a hug." He would also pat his back. haha

Other April "news:" Heather and Evan and some of her friends, as well as Ahna's fiance stayed here 2 weekends ago. They were in town for 2 of Heather's friends' joint bridal shower. It was fun to be at the shower, and I'm sure even more fun for all of Heather's friends to have a big "reunion!" I wish I would have taken some pics, esp of the 2 cute pregos together (Jenna and Heather). =) Their friends came up w/ the idea to surprise them with their diaper bags filled w/ baby goodies. They were adorable. I was able to help Heather do her baby registry, which was fun (especially the intermission for dinner at Panera =))
This past weekend Kyle and I enjoyed going to a huge wedding at our church. I got to see some ppl that I graduated with, who I haven't seen for 5 years. It was a nice surprise! It was great to enjoy the evening without worrying about Seth getting bored, tired, ancy, or whining for more food at the reception. =) We left him w/ a girl from our SS class who has a little boy, and I was told they did well playing together. She also made cookies which I know Seth partook of without any hesitation!
Seth is saying so many words lately. It is so much fun to see him point at things and say the word for the 1st time, esp when I didn't even know he could say the word. I guess repetition does pay off! The other day he pointed at a picture of a church in a book, and said "church!" =) and he's definitely got the words "no" and "cookie" down pat. (Stef, now I can sympathize w/ you... last time in PA you were trying to get Iris to stop saying "no, no, no," etc... haha) But the good thing he's getting much better at saying "thank you." Now, a lot of times when he hands me something, he says "thank you" b/c he's used to hearing me tell him "thank you" for handing it to me. haha
Mom recently sent him this Puma outfit, which I couldn't help but snap a few pics of. It's so cute. Thanks, mom! (Heaven knows his own mother doesn't dress him that cute =)) (The pic below looks like he has a glass eye.)
and this was daddy and Seth having some fun... the password is "horsey."

AND... our 3rd table arrived on Tuesday, and we're not even thinking of returning it! yay =) The stain is darker than the last one we ordered. It's not quite as dark as I was expecting, but it still matches the cabinets a lot better. It has 2 big leaves also, so you are all welcome to come and eat at our house now, without having to sit at the card table! (unless the whole family shows up at once =))
Have a wonderful Resurrection day! What an awesome privilege to be children of the ONLY Living God!

I love that spinning part of the video with Kyle! How cute!! Way to get him to say please too! It's an ongoing battle in our house. Gabby is STUBBORN!!

What a fun post to read:-) Loved the videos-that horsey one looked like fun for Seth & how cute that when Kyle said 1, he said 2 before he went spinning! Here in New Hampshire, we still don't even have leaves on the trees yet, it still looks like dead winter:-/ Waiting for things to turn green here.
