We had our new table delivered last night (Wed.) and we have 10 days to return it if we want to. I'm looking for your opinions b/c I can't decide if we should keep this one or return it for a darker stained wood. There were only 2 stain options and we chose the lighter one, which is lighter than our cabinets. The darker one would be darker than our cabinets, but I'm thinking it might look better. (I would say it's kinda like a medium brown color.. not too dark.) Also, there's a really light spot right in the middle of the table (just naturally occuring in the wood) that when the overhead light shines on it, it looks really obvious... and it kind of annoys me. Kyle says I'm too picky, but if we plan on keeping this for a very long time, I don't want to settle for something I'm not happy with. We would probably have to pay another delivery fee to have a new one delivered, and we really don't feel like ordering a 3rd kitchen table. (this is the 2nd one we've ordered so far). Will my indecisiveness ever end?? =) I know it's hard to know what it looks like w/out seeing it in person, but does anyone have an opinion about what I should do?

Sorry for a very boring post, but I'll be grateful for any input. (I think someone in our family should have gone into interior decorating!) =)
HAHA Megan you crack me up! I think it looks nice but I totally understand you being picky seeing most likely you'll have it for a very long time! I think the darker stained table might look great, because you have dark wood furniture in your family room. Also, a darker stain table doesn't usually clash with a lighter cabinet.

I think that the darker wood would be a really nice contrast with your cabinets. It looks nice anyway but if your not pleased I wouldn't settle...seeing as you may have it for awhile!
