Ok, I won't pin this to pinterest or anything and I don't know why this uploaded sideways, but if you look sideways and squint really hard, you should be able to read "HAPPY 3rd!" =) I ran out of room to write "happy birthday Seth" and the frosting kept coming up off the cake so it looks more like I sprinkled Oreo crumbs on top. I think it tasted good, which is all that matters, right? ;)

So thankful for our little man and all the joy he brings to our lives. He is so much fun and says the funniest things. His imagination is starting to show through more as he takes care of his stuffed animals, etc.. =) I'm excited for when he and Rayna can actually "play" together.
a cool nerf water gun from Jenna/Justin
He got lots of really great presents, and we saved our "big gift" for last. He sat on it for a few seconds, and then decided it was time to go back to playing with his new cars. ha It's a little too big for him now, but hopefully by spring time he'll be able to peddle =)
some leftover streamers from his 1st b-day party =)
a cool tool set from Brent/Lori. He really likes it and we happen to have a little Thomas the Train box that works as a nice toolbox. =)
This cracks me up. We wanted him to put on his Lowes apron (that he got from a workshop he went to w/ Kyle,) and put his tools in the pockets for a picture. He did NOT want his picture taken at that moment for some reason and started bawling... haha what a FACE!
happy again and ready to go to bed... but he had to make sure his new cars were with him.
There was a combine harvesting the soybeans behind our house, and of course Seth thought he was in tractor heaven!
getting a better view from the playset.
a little bike ride on a beautiful night. didn't last long b/c Rayna wanted out of there!
I came downstairs to find Seth's glasses on Rayna. didn't get the camera in time before she started to pull them off. She looked so funny! (glad he didn't poke her in the eye...)
Seth wearing a "Ranger" shirt from Grammie. He was called "Ranger Seth" that day ;)
Seth singing a song =)
Miss Rayna is 7 months today! I was thinking the other day that my kids are kind of the "odd balls" for the Heagy side... Seth is the only one with green eyes, and Rayna the only one with dark hair. hmm... maybe the 3rd one will fit in better =) haha (no, this is not supposed to be an announcement just to clarify!)
Happy 1st day of fall tomorrow!! I thank God for the different seasons, like Heather said. It is pretty neat we live in a part of the world that does get to experience all 4 seasons. We are looking forward to hearing of our newest nephew's birth any day now!!

Hey Seth, stop growing so fast, you look so tall!! You have a great voice for a kid, must've gotten Daddy's vocal genes... little Rayna is so precious, she smiles w a twinkle in her eyes, I noticed that about her. love, Grammie H
ReplyDeleteAWWWWW to this whole post. Love Seth's boyish bday toys and his bawling picture in the apron, Rayna is a doll and so sweet, Seth watching the combine and singing jesus loves me (darling), cute bday cake, and very cute family picture!!! Can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks! xoxo
ReplyDeleteonce again i laughed through this whole post! i absolutely love reading the blogs, and makes me miss all of you alot! looking forward to seeing you in Nov!
ReplyDeleteMeg what a fun post once again! I seriously LOVE reading the blogs too, it makes me feel like we are closer than we are:-) I don't feel as distant, knowing I can see them through pictures & read little tidbits of life happenings etc...even though it DOES make me miss you more haha if that makes any sense! Anyways-I get so excited about parties, I'm a party fanatic, I love putting them on, and I love going to them:-) They are just such an exciting time...and Seth's party was super cute! You had me cracking up about your "this is not pin worthy for Pinterest" comment & how you started rambling about how it looked like you put crushed oreos on top of the cake and how you ran out of room to write what you intended to write on it, etc...but then you nailed it by saying that TASTE was all that matters;-) SO true! I also enjoy seeing all the boy toys, like nerf guns, bikes, tools etc...I would love to see them in my house someday;-) I am sure the bike will be a HUGE hit in the Spring, good idea! The pic of him bawling in his apron is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!! I'm SOO glad you caught that on camera...oh the fits that they throw over the dumbest things, it will always boggle my mind haha! I love the combine pictures & how in "heaven" he was watching it all happen in his own backyard:-) Your kids are precious Kyle & Meg, kisses to them both!! Oh & Kyle, I think Seth got your singing talent, he doesn't even sound like a squeaky kid singing lol, he's good! (do you think I put enough exclamation marks & smilies in this comment??) Megan-I can imagine how much you laughed when you came downstairs & saw Rayna in Seth's glasses, that would have been suchhh a riot to see. She's a dolly pie & so happy. Love you all!
