Being the sophisticated couple that we are, we attended a ballet. Well, ok, it was Elli's ballet rehearsal (you had to pay to go to the actual performance, but the place was packed just for the rehearsal!) Her good friend Lily is to the left of her. They were really cute.
on the way home... Seth's new shades. They usually last a few seconds before he wants them off. =)
The day after VBS was over, we gave a baby shower to our friend Erin (youth pastor's wife). I've never had to plan something like this before, so I'm kinda glad 100 ppl didn't show up like we originally thought might be the case. She's due with a boy the end of July.
A friend made this adorable watermelon carriage, and another friend made these 3 diaper cakes and frosted all of the cupcakes with her homemade frosting. delicious!
Kyle wanted to go out and catch lightning bugs with Seth. He made him a container to keep them in overnight. I actually felt bad for the lightning bugs being trapped in there. We let them go the next morning =)
Seth has been really cuddly when he's tired or when he knows we're about to put him to bed. Kyle and I love these moments. Often times he'll lay his head on my shoulder and wrap his legs tight around me while he sucks his thumb and I rock him standing up or sing to him or pray with him, etc... I wish he'd stop growing so fast!
He likes to climb into his old bouncy chair and pull the frog to make it play music... what a goof.
He likes to pull out my oven mitts and say "hot" and put them on his arms.
We had our good friends (Scott and Andrea, and Drew and Steph) over this past week. Andrea is due for her first baby boy on Sept 2nd. It was great to catch up with all of them.
It seems we rarely get a pic of just us now... interesting how that happens.
I cannot believe it's the end of June already!! It has been nice having Kyle on summer break. He and Seth have gone on several bike rides and have enjoyed playing together. Seth has been calling me "daddy" ever since Kyle's been home so much lately. Hopefully he'll get it straight before too long. =) I'm so excited to hear news of Heather's baby coming any day now! Would love to be there to welcome Seija to the fam!

I love the outfit mom bought him...he looks so grown up in it. How fun to have Kyle home this summer- looks like you've been doing lots of fun summer stuff together. Wish I could join on some of the adventures!
ReplyDeleteHi Megan,
ReplyDeleteLove all the great shots of Seth~~the farm, John Deere riders etc. He is such a cutie, love the new picture you sent your mom, he looks so much like Kyle with blond hair Ha Ha
Hi to Kyle also, it'll be so nice to see you in August. Had fun with family in Pa this past weekend, was hoping Heather would have delivered while I was there( she did too). Love Helen
